As a child, Durga shot into the limelight after painting the feet of a statue of Goddess Durga in a temple in a village located in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
He then went on to become a successful Art student in the prestigious "Banaras Hindu University" (B.H.U.) in Varanasi.
His paintings often depict bodies of sensuality and strength, with something special that reminds one of the works of Eugene Delacroix.
He has participated in various solo and group shows and exhibitions in India and abroad, and won many prestigious awards.
